We’re excited to announce that our new 3,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art Fitness Center is currently undergoing renovations to provide an elevated experience for our Members to enjoy very soon. This includes new Freemotion strength training machines and cardio equipment, expanded free weights and stretching area along with a variety of instructor lead fitness classes in our new Movement Studio and personal training sessions from one of our on-staff personal trainers.

Jennifer Blanton, Director of Fitness

Jennifer loves living in Comanche Trace! She has a background in personal training and group exercise and has been in the fitness field for nearly 40 years. After getting her degree in Kinesiology, she went on to become a US Army hospital administrator and master fitness trainer. While on active duty, she got a multidisciplinary master’s degree from Southwest Texas State.
She has worked with all age groups and fitness levels, from kinder dance, gymnastics, and home school PE, to working with soldiers and gym goers to personal training and group exercise in a physical rehabilitation center. She currently holds numerous certifications, among them are AFAA Group Exercise, TRX, Aqua and Silver Sneakers. She is also certified to lead multiple branded programs from Les Mills. As an avid runner, she has completed 50 full marathons. Her motto is ‘movement is freedom’ and her passion is sharing the joy of movement with others.

Terry Clayborne, Personal Trainer

As a new resident to Comanche Trace and a recently retired National Account Sales SVP in the foodservice industry, Terry and his wife Janet and are excited to be a part of the community. He was born and raised in Texas and have spent the past 47 years in Houston.
Terry has always been a fitness enthusiast and recently graduated from the National Personal Training Institute as a Certified Personal Fitness Trainer. He would love the opportunity to share his passion for a healthy lifestyle through physical fitness, proper exercise and a well-rounded diet so that you can achieve your personal fitness goals.

Nelson Tumlinson, Personal Trainer

Nelson Tumlinson is a NSCA certified personal trainer. He has over 7 years experience in Personal Training & Supervision of Physical Therapy Technicians, wellness clients & clinical students. He is the owner of Hill Country Wellness & Performance, LLC. and works out of the Kroc Center, Center for Fitness, Comanche Trace, & River Hills Mall. He offers private one on one sessions as well as semi-private sessions and classes. He would love to help you reach your fitness goals. His motto is, “Improvement through movement” from his time in physical therapy and he strongly believes in Mans sana in corpore sano, “A sound mind in a sound body.”
