Chef Jay Nash was born and raised in a small farming community in Iowa. Jay grew up with homestyle and farm to table cooking, worked in restaurants and a small farm. Following his passion after attending the University of Iowa he moved to Hyde Park, New York and graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in 1994. He found his new home in Austin Texas opening the culinary side of Texas’ largest brew pub of the time. After seven years he moved on to River Place Country Club as the Executive Chef with Dominion Golf Group. As the company expanded Jay became Executive Chef at Dominion Country Club where he served the members for 17 years. Jay became Executive Chef of Comanche in November of 2023.
